Invitation
Dear Creativist
This is your invitation to contribute and be part of the Creativist community.
The Creativist Manifesto celebrates the necessity and urgency of being a creativist (creative + connected + activist), as an alternative to the consumer role given to us by the society that we live in.
And the Creativist Manifesto outlines the belief that great things will happen when creative, active minds connect and collaborate.
Many of us share a similar way of thinking; have projects that we are working on in our field of expertise; are undertaking our own journeys and explorations. We know that we need to make the most of the opportunity that we have now to create the future we want, when society is clearly in a state of flux. We know that this new society will come about through creative, open source collaboration.
The Creativist Society is therefore a space for people to contribute their visions, their thoughts and their stories, and for connections to occur – connections between ideas, projects and people. The richness of the Creativist Society will be the breadth, as well as the depth of the contributions.
So this is an invitation for you to contribute and connect. It is up to you to decide how you would like to contribute – as a reader, a discussor or a writer – but if you decide you would like to contribute as a writer, here are two questions as a starting point:
- If you could pass on one lesson that you have learnt in the past year, that challenges consumer society mentality, what would it be?
- What are you doing in any area of your life, or what examples have you come across, of creativist behaviour and thinking as an alternative to the consumer model, and what are the results? (This could be in any field, from housing to education, healthcare to relationships, workplace to leisure)
You could also choose to focus on one of the 9 choices that are highlighted in the manifesto, eg fear vs faith, certainty vs uncertainty, questions vs answers. You can see the full list on the Manifesto page of this site.
Submitting an article is easy - just go to the Submit page (the pen icon), and use the form. There is no maximum or minimum word limit, and you can include videos, images and links. Please also use this form if you have any questions about contributing, ideas or feedback that you would like to share, or would like to get involved in some way.
We don’t know where it all will lead to, but that is all part of the adventure - and all part of the magic of letting go – and having trust in ourselves and the universe. Here’s to the future we want – and the possibility that is present in this moment.
